Sylvia Robinson ‘The Mother of Hip Hop’ Dies at 75

Singer, songwriter and producer Sylvia Robinson died early Thursday morning in a New Jersey hospital of congestive heart failure. She was 75.  Robinson was co-founder of Sugarhill Records, following her successful career as part of the duo Mickey & Sylvia.  She had a big hit, “Pillow Talk,” in 1973 which was recorded under the name of Sylvia.  EURWeb.com has the complete story.  Read More:
