The Houston Rockets’ winning streak came to a close after the Utah Jazz defeated the Rockets in NBA action Wednesday evening in Houston. Utah’s Gordon Hayward had a season as well as a game high of 29 points during Wednesday’s game. The No. 9 overall pick of the 2010 NBA Draft drained 4 of 5 3-pointers during the game.

Paul Millsap had 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals while Derrick Favors contributed a double-double with ten points and 11 boards off the bench for the Jazz.

With Houston’s loss from the Jazz and Denver’s win later Wednesday, there is now a three-way tie for sixth place in the Western Conference. During Wednesday’s game and while being 85-72, Patrick Patterson hit a jumper to spur an 8-0 run. After the game, Houston Rockets’ forward Luis Scola admitted that Utah played a better game of basketball Wednesday: “They just outplayed us,” Scola told media outlets. It was a final score of 103-91 with Utah as the winners.
