(CNN) — A convicted murderer and another inmate who escaped from a Kansas jail remained on the loose Thursday, as authorities scoured the region for the missing prisoners.
Santos Carrera-Morales, identified as a Hispanic male with a shaved head and goatee, escaped from the Ottawa County Jail early Wednesday morning, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections. He was convicted in 2008 of two counts of first-degree murder.
