Motorcyclist Suffers Fatal Injury In Traffic Accident

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4700 Elysian about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The unidentified male victim, 31, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the driver of a white Ford F-250 pickup truck was northbound on Elysian when she entered the intersection at Cavalcade.

She told investigators she had a green light when the victim, operating a black motorcycle, crossed in front of her, causing her to strike him.  She then lost control of the pickup truck, left the road, and then struck a home.

She and a female resident were both transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation in this matter will continue.
