Lauren and David Perkins, parents of the sextuplets nicknamed the “Perkins Pack” say they’re excited, exhausted and a little scared about raising their six bundles of joy.

Lauren gave birth to the three girls and three boys prematurely on April 23. See pictures of the Perkins sextuplets here.

A staff of 35 doctors, nurses and technical assistants helped deliver the babies. They were all born within four minutes.

The babies are being taken care of at Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women in the Medical Center until they’re ready to go home.

Doctors says five of the six are doing well, but one, Leah, is struggling a bit with fluid congestion. Dr. Charles Hankin and his staff believe she will improve over time.

Lauren says her daughter is a fighter.

Dr. Charles Hankin says all of the babies should weigh between four and five pounds before being cleared to leave the hospital and go home.

David Perkins says they’re an “ordinary couple blessed with an extraordinary responsiblity.”

The babies names are Andrew Noah, Benjamin Luke, Levi Thomas, Allison Kate, Caroline Grace and Leah Michelle.
