One of the world’s most sought-after actors appeared in Houston Thursday evening as a speaker apart of a lecture series. Actor and activist George Clooney has most recently traded acting scripts for information about causes he seems passionate about. Known for his vocal outcries and public protests of the government in Sudan and for his note-worthy arrest with members of Congress at Sudan Embassy in Washington, D.C., Clooney begun a North American tour in Houston at the Wortham Theater.
Clooney who was voted “Sexiest Man Alive” received a standing ovation Thursday in Houston when he appeared onstage with Lynn Wyatt as part of the Brilliant Lecture Series. The series is a nonprofit founded by Scott Brogan.
Clooney was asked about his childhood, career, politics, dreams, hopes, fears and the passion behind causes and issues he supports.
