More than 20 trauma survivors have been invited to attend the Harris County Hospital District Trauma Survivors Celebration. The celebration is set for Tuesday to honor those who have experienced life-threatening injuries and were treated at Ben Taub General Hospital or Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital.
According to information obtained from the Harris County Hospital District, those survivors will be reunited with those who helped to save their lives: “As part of the celebration, the trauma survivors will reunite with many of the trauma surgeons, emergency center physicians, nurses and emergency personnel from the Houston Fire Department who saved their lives.”
Among those invited are a motorcyclist who crossed into oncoming traffic, a police officer who was struck by two drunk drivers at a DUI traffic stop and a man who survived afte a four-wheeler flipped and landed on top of him.
