A new study finds that HIV-infected women in Africa are more proned to spreading the AIDS virus when using hormone-based birth control, compared to women who don’t take the pill, according to the Associated Press.
One of the researchers, Renee Heffron of the University of Washington said that this is the first study to look at this question. Researchers agreed that it should not cause women to immediately alter their birth control practices.
