HOUSTON (FOX 26) –FOX 26 Sports has learned Texas Southern men’s basketballcoach Tony Harvey has stepped down for personal reasons.Harvey and TSU athletics director Charles McClelland have not been available for comment.Harvey was the Southwestern Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2011 when he led the Tigers to a 19-13 record and TSU’s first SWAC regular season title in 13 years.
In 2011 the Tigers earned the school’s first bid to the NIT and their first postseason bid since 2003.
