Two more Houstonians have been diagnosed with West Nile virus. According to City Of Houston officials the two diagnoses are a southwest Houston woman between 25 and 34 years old and a northeast Houston man between 55 and 74.

Three Houstonians diagnosed with West Nile Virus have died this year.

Thirteen other Houstonians diagnosed with West Nile virus.

A Wharton County man who lived near El Campo also died after being diagnosed with the virus this month.

Two people in Fort Bend County and four people in Montgomery County have been diagnosed with West Nile Virus as well.

Thirty-three people in Texas, including the three in Houston and the one in Wharton County, have died. Dallas County has the most deaths with 11 people having died from West Nile Virus.

Most people become infected within three to 10 days of a bite from an infected mosquito.

Earlier this month, Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services (HCPHES) released a statement that mosquito control scheduled an aerial spray operation for portions of west and northwest Harris County.

The plan implemented measures to combat the mosquito-borne disease.
