NEWS92FM.com – It may only be Tuesday but many in Houston are smiling after the Houston Texans increased their winning record to 5-0 for the season, holding off the New York Jets with a 23-17 victory on Monday night.  The key may have been a run game that churned 169 yards, 152 of which came from running back Arian Foster.

Head coach Gary Kubiak says that the Jets came at them with everything they had, even though defensive end JJ Watt had six tackles and one sack.  Watt leads the NFL with 8 1/2 sacks and 3 swats.

The Green Bay Packers are next up for the Texans at Reliant Stadium on Sunday night.  For many the big question is whether or not linebacker Brian Cushing will be ready after suffering a hit low in the knee, and ultimately being forced out of the game.
