A car salesman heads to a Harris County court today.

NEWS 92 FM’s Pattie Shieh explains why he could be facing even more serious charges:

Keith Grimmet faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The 49-year-old is accused of shooting a manager at their workplace, Mac Haik Chevrolet on the Katy Freeway. A witness told police Friday morning Grimmet walked into the office of Robert Kuentz to confront him.

Grimmet was apparently upset about how he had been treated in a meeting the previous day. According to the witness, Grimmet pulled out a handgun and shot the 30-year-old father in the neck.

Kuentz was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital but he died late Monday afternoon. So the charge against Grimmet could be upgraded to murder.

Grimmet, who had not worked at the dealership for very long, is scheduled to appear before Judge Ruben Guerrero. He has no previous criminal record in Harris County and is being held without bond.
