Reports say that Marvin Gaye‘s son is against the upcoming biopic and doesn’t want Lenny Kravitz to be a part of the film. As previously reported, Lenny will play Marvin in Sexual Healing — which will focus on the soul legend’s life, including his depression and drug addiction up until his death in 1984.
Marvin Gaye III told the site, “The producers and directors of this film are very wrong and shameful … [They’re] trying to do a film about a low period in his life. They don’t even know the whole story.” Marvin’s son said that he and Lenny are actually friends. He said about Lenny, “I would hope [Lenny] doesn’t have any idea that we are against this film being done.
