As of Friday (June 14th) iPhone users have the option of reading and editing text documents and spreadsheets from their iPhone. iPhone users can access Microsoft Office through the Office Mobile app, but an Office 365 subscription is required to use it. The subscription costs 100-dollars a year and allows a subscriber to use Microsoft Office on up to five Mac and Windows computers. Microsoft says that documents will not be formatted to fit an iPhone screen, but that the app will preserve charts, animation and comments among other key properties. Microsoft is not expected to make the app available for Android or iPad users. (Yahoo)
