I have heard people talk at jobs and barber shops on how they get out of jury duty. We need to realize that, one, it’s our duty and two, you should count it a privilege to be asked to serve.
There are so many men and women that are not giving a fair shake in court because they are not represented by their peers. I still hear people say they are not registered to vote because they don’t want to be called on for jury duty. Some of our morals are twisted when we know who’s on “Dancing With The Stars” or “Love & Hip Hop” but we don’t know our local city councilman.
The way to change to system is within the system. Just my thoughts!
