George Zimmerman‘s defense team tried desperately to convince both a Florida court and the court of public opinion that the acquitted 29-year-old neighborhood watchman accused in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin is not a racist.

But, if the walls of social media could talk from days long past, they might reveal the rants of a racist with a self-loating for people within his own racial community and a man who has gotten off for crime in the past.

Eight years ago, long before the days of Facebook’s popularity or the existence of Twitter, Instagram and Vine, there was Myspace. And like many people, George Zimmerman was a member of the social networking site. And like so many of us, the then 21-year-old had a habit of putting a lot of nonsense on his account.

Shocking: Find Out What Zimmerman Says About Hispanics Below!

On Zimmerman’s alleged Myspace account, as confirmed to the Miami Herald by his lawyer Mark O’Mara, racially-charged comments about Latinos and confessions of a troubled past emerge from his blog and comments.

Going under the name “Joe G.,” Zimmerman writes about his pleasure to have evaded his former home of Manassas, Va., a place he says was riddled with crime, according to Political Blindspot:

I dont miss driving around scared to hit mexicans walkin on the side ofthe street, soft ass wanna be thugs messin with peoples cars when they aint around (what are you provin, that you can dent a car when no ones watchin) dont make you a man in my book. Workin 96 hours to get a decent pay check, gettin knifes pulled on you by every mexican you run into!

Zimmerman, whose username “Onlytobekingagain” seems to indicate he had fallen from much better days, also reveals how he was able to evade serious consequences after he was involved in an altercation with a police officer:

2 felonies dropped to 1 misdemeanor!!!!!!!!!!! The man knows he was wrong but still got this hump, Thanks to everyone friends and fam, G baby you know your my rock!

When his ex-fianceé filed a restraining order against him and accused him of domestic violence, according to the Herald, Zimmerman emerged from the court victorious, and seems to relish the fact his defense team prevented him from facing charges.

Im still free! The ex hoe tried her hardest, but the judge saw through it! Big Mike, reppin the Dverse security makin me look a million bucks, broke her down! Thanks to everyone for checkin up on me! Stay tuned for the A.T.F. charges……

But, amongst the most telling statements is Zimmerman’s revelation that suggests associates of his took the fall for one of his crimes, and in the end, they did not “rat him out,” as the Herald reports.

They do a year and dont ever open thier [sic] mouth to get my ass pinched.

And yet, Zimmerman’s defense worked vigilantly to protect the accused from the stain of racism, despite an alleged illustrated history which unfolds on the web.

Not surprisingly, those lawyers which helped Zimmerman reach an acquittal would not comment on the Myspace account, when pressed.

“In that regard, it is possible that the statements Mr. Zimmerman made could be used as part of the trial, and therefore it is our policy not to comment directly on items that could become evidence,” they wrote.
