Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity will host their annual “Free Health and Wellness Fairs” August 3rd and August 10th. Each year the fraternity hosts the event to educate, encourage, and support health initiatives in the black community.
There are several screenings and services that will be available for free including blood pressure, mental health, eye exams, dental exams, HIV/AIDS testing, tetanus shots, cholesterol & hypertension, “Back to School” immunizations for children and more.
The first fair will be on Sat., August 3rd and will take place at three different locations as follows: Sunnyside Community Center, 9am-1pm; 3rd ward Multi-Service Center, 10am-2pm; Kashmere Multi-Service Center, 10am-2pm.
The second fair will be the following week, on Sat., August 10th at the George R. Brown Convention Center from 9am-1pm.
