The train driver was on the phone, and was driving almost double the speed limit, at the time that his train derailed in an accident that killed 79 passengers in northern Spain last Wednesday. That was the finding of a Spanish court, released yesterday. Data collected in the investigation indicates that the train had slowed from 119 miles per hour to 95 miles per hour only seconds before it hit a sharp curve, derailed and smashed into a concrete wall. The driver has been provisionally charged with 72 counts of reckless homicide.  (Pulse of Radio)
