The former Harris County detention officer convicted of child pornography will be going to prison for 15 years.

Lawyers for David Land agreed to the deal after prosecutors found 9,500 images and 62 videos of children engaging in sex on Land’s computers.
The arrest was a result of an internet crimes against children investigation into land distributing two videos of minors in sexually explicit acts. When officers searched Land’s home in Porter, they discovered an unrelated ten-year old boy living there.
The boy told police that Land had discussed sex acts with him, but he had never been touched. Experts say that is typical predator grooming behavior.
