The first day of legal recreational marijuana sales in Colorado on New Year’s Day yesterday (January 1st) brought long lines at the 24 shops that were open, most of them in Denver. And after waiting on those lines, buyers were paying high prices, however AP reported that it’s too soon to say how prices will change as more people have their applications approved to get into the marijuana business, increasing supply and competition. Colorado is the first place in the modern world that has a fully legal marijuana industry, and its experience will be watched globally to see whether the drug can effectively be sold like alcohol, kept away from children, and highly taxed, or whether it becomes to harmful to public health and safety for other places to follow suit.
I shouldn’t hear another violent crime come out of the state of Colorado! They can smoke weed freely?! Every one there should be laid back, chill and happy! LOL
