(HOUSTON, TX)– A La Marque woman could face charges after police say she held her husband hostage for nearly seven hours yesterday [Wednesday].
The incident began when the husband told family members his wife wouldn’t let him leave the house. SWAT negotiators from Texas City talked to the woman for hours, before ending the standoff just before 4:30.
Police say the woman had previously threatened to kill her husband. The woman will undergo a mental evaluation at a hospital.
