This is the time of year that things could be good or bad for NFL free agents. In the case of Michael Vick, things are good! The New York Jets have released Mark Sanchez and signed Michael Vick to a 1 year deal worth $5 million, giving him another chase to prove himself, since no other team was interested in signing him. He will backup starer Geno Smith, however, the fact that the Jets signed Vick makes one question the confidence they have in Smith. Jets offensive coordinator, Marty Mornhinweg, who worked with Vick in Philadelphia said,

We are excited to acquire Michael Vick. He’s a great talent who has won many games, including playoff games in this league. Micheal will be able to go in and play at a high level and a winning level if called upon.

Michael wrote a heartfelt letter to the city of Philadelphia expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to play for the Eagles and try to rebuild his football career. Read more.
