(HOUSTON, TX)– It’s the West Houston restaurant brawl seen around the world, and now we’re getting a new perspective of how it all started.

That customer asked for a refund after an employee at the Chaco’s restaurant on Westheimer threw away her drink as she was getting a to-go cup.  One employee was videotaped grabbing the woman, leading to the melee that’s gone viral.  Senior Manager Harold Robertson tells KHOU 11 the incident should never have gotten out of hand.

Robertson says the manager on duty and two other employees have been fired.  A lawyer representing the three customers involved in the brawl says they plan on taking civil action and are pressing for criminal charges.
