(HOUSTON) — San Francisco is often thought of as the major hub for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) opportunities, but a recent report by personal finance site NerdWallet found that Houston is even better.
Houston’s STEM job availability, average STEM career wage and median gross rent make it the fourth best place for STEM graduates in the nation.

Houston follows behind San Jose, Seattle and Washington, D.C. in the report’s overall results.
San Francisco was fifth, with Austin, Boston, Raleigh, Denver and Dayton, Ohio, rounding out the top 10 overall.
