In response to public backlash after Ray Rice was only handed a 2 game suspension from the NFL for domestic abuse, Commissioner Roger Godell admitted to dropping the ball on Rice’s punishment. Rice was indicted for aggravated assault after an incident of domestic violence involving his fiancé back in February at an Atlantic City Casino. Rice allegedly knocked her unconscious and video footage shows him dragging her listless body out of an elevator.
