(HOUSTON) – Two women were arrested on charges of operating a sexually-oriented business and prostitution in Northwest Houston last week.

The Harris County Pct. 4 Constables Office said they conducted a compliance inspection of the Aroma Spa, in the 2100 block of FM 1960, on Aug. 25.

Chong Cho, 59, and Ok Yu, 61, were arrested after undercover officers entered the business and were offered massage and sexual services for a fee.

Deputies said the business was allegedly not licensed as a massage establishment, and the employees were not licensed to offer or perform massage services, as authorized by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Aroma Spa was later deemed as a massage parlor prohibited by Harris County, under the sexually-oriented business ordinances.

“These particular operations often deal in the sex trade and human trafficking industry and move into local neighborhood strip centers, buildings and even residences,” said Assistant Chief Deputy Tim Cannon.

“One of our many goals at Pct. 4 is to try to separate the good from the bad and hold those persons accountable who choose to operate outside of the legal parameters.”

Cho is charged with no class 1 sexually oriented business license, and operating a massage establishment without a license. Her bond was set at $2,500.

Yu is charged with second offence prostitution, and held on $1,500 bond.
