Yeesh! Bad news keeps coming from the NFL. On top of everything that’s been going on this week with Ray Rice and Ray McDonald being charged with domestic abuse, Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys has been accused of sexual assault. 27-year old former stripper, Jana Weckerly claims that in 2009, Jones sexually assaulted her and was threatened into not reporting it to police. A lawsuit has been filed seeking more than $1 million dollars in damages. Levi McCathern, attorney for Jerry Jones, says that this is nothing but a shakedown and issued the following statement:

“These allegations are completely false. The legal complaint is unsupported by facts or evidence of any kind. This is nothing more than an attempt to embarrass and extort Jerry Jones. This is a shakedown by a lawyer who is a solo practitioner just trying to make a name for himself. The alleged incidents would have been more than five years old. We intend to vigorously contest this complaint and expect it to be shown for what it is-A money grab. Do to the seriousness of these baseless allegations, we have also involved law enforcement.”
