Dear Tom,

My mother has been nothing but an inspiration to my life. She raised my brother and me all by herself providing for us by working for a cleaning service full time and she took in a part time job. The part time job eventually became a full time job and vice-versa.

She worked her way up to manager at Bojangles famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits. She was there for 10 years until April of 2013 – that’s when she went in for her annual health checkup and was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Due to the extent of her treatment, my mom was unable to work but the early detection allowed her to see her 45th birthday. My mom beat cancer and now she shares her testimony with the world encouraging & counseling newly diagnosed patients at their homes, hospitals and in church.

She is on disability and is unable to work until she makes a full recovery.  Needless to say, the hospital got her behind on her bills and she has not had the time or money to get pampered – you know:  get her nails done and her hair did – and i know she could use a massage.
