As the time has come again for us to honor those whose work in the fields of television, music, literature, film and social justice shone so brightly via the 48th Annual NAACP Image Awards, we’d like to take a moment to express our gratitude for those who made a tough year so much easier to survive.

Celebrities like Taraji P. Henson, Denzel Washington, Viola Davis converged for the 2017 Screen Actor's Guild Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles for a night of television and acting excellence.

Announcements broke from normal tradition as the names were announced via live feed broadcasted on the morning news shows such as "Good Morning America." Announcers of color included Gabby Sidibe, Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard.
