New Orleans, Louisiana (CNN) — Bad weather may impact BP’s attempts to create a permanent fix to the oil disaster, a BP official said Thursday.
BP has been working on a relief well that it has said will be the permanent fix to the oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico.
But a tropical storm could hit the area soon, forecasters have said. Because of that, BP has put the “casing” process of the relief well on hold, a BP spokesman told CNN Thursday morning.
