Carl Gordon was a late bloomer.
After serving in the Air Force, attending Brooklyn College for a few years and then working a series of odd jobs, he found his passion in acting.
Many people remember Gordon as Andrew Emerson, the proud, cantankerous father of “Roc,” the title character in the 1990s sitcom starring Charles S. Dutton.
