She’s worked closely with Redd Foxx, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Ed Sullivan, Pearl Bailey, Cootie Williams, Cab Calloway and Ethel Waters. She’s been called “the oldest woman in show business” by Bill Cosby.
