Well well well, so I just found out that my guesses were right about those “bluesy” H&M commercials. Singer Erykah Badu is in fact the singer covering blues standard, “Mannish Boy”, first recorded by Muddy Watter in 1955!
According to her Youtube page, the vocals were produced by Grammy award winning singer Erykah Badu and recorded by Thomas Juth at Kensaltown Studios in London, England on July 23, 2010. The band was recorded by Brady Blade at Blade Studios in Shreveport, LA.
