Tonight LeBron James heads back to Ohio for a second-taste of hometown hate. His Miami Heat play his former team the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time this season. James endured the first visit back in December. “Can’t get no worse than it was December 2nd,” James said. “I know that for a fact.”

During that visit fans prepared to give James their worst. The boos and chants of “Akron hates you” were non-stop. When James touched the ball the crowd erupted with scorn. However, James was undaunted scoring 38 points and helped the Heat blow out the Cavs 118-90. The win helped motivate a Heat squad that had been struggling to gel, and gave the Cavaliers a one-way ticket to Loserville and a 14-58 record.

The team James will be facing tonight is very different from the crew he trounced in December. Anderson Varejao and forward Antawn Jamison are both out for the season and the Cavaliers traded Mo Williams, Jamario Moon and released Leon Powe since December. There are only three healthy players — Daniel Gibson, J.J. Hickson and Anthony Parker — who played with James.

Coach Byron Scott thinks Cleveland fans have moved on but guard Baron Davis, who was acquired in a trade with The Clippers, says that “no one will be smiling” come game time.
