*M.C. Hammer seemingly got a new lease on life and is giving his time back to the community.

He’s decided to take part in a new mentoring program for minority-led start-up businesses.

As part of the New Media Entrepreneurship accelerator program in Silicon Valley, Hammer, whose real name is Stanley Burrell, will be advising seven minority-run businesses across the country. He will also make regular visits to the entrepreneurs and keep an eye on their progress
