I’ve been searching high and low for a feel good story and I finally find one today at myfoxhouston.com (takes a sign of release). A north Houston woman’s home is getting some much needed repairs thanks to Houston police officers and a local non-profit. “Rebuild Houston” and several volunteers from the Houston Police Department began work on Lucille Holcomb’s home off Maxroy on Monday morning. Among the planned improvements are a new carport, wheelchair ramp, painting, and landscaping work. “Rebuild Houston” and the city have partnered on nine projects that benefit low-income and elderly or disabled homeowners.
