Comedian George Wallace wants to honor American servicemen and women in a very special way. This year, he promises that military attendees at his “I Be Thinkin'” show at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino can receive one free ticket as long as they can show ID.
Wallace made his announcement after performing at a recent World Wrestling Entertainment “Tribute to the Troops” show.
“[It’s] so important to give back,” Wallace told reporters on a WWE conference call. “We have love for these troops that go and defend our country. They’re family, actually.”
This offer, which Wallace has extended before, is for active and retired military personnel and their dependents with ID. Military tickets are for general admission seating, are restricted to one ticket per military member per year and are available to seating availability. Wallace’s “I Be Thinkin'” runs from Tuesday through Saturday at 10 p.m. in the Flamingo Ballroom of the Flamingo Las Vegas. Golden Circle passes that include meeting the comedian are available for purchase along with regular show tickets.
Wallace – who is in the seventh year of his residency in Las Vegas – says his gesture pays tribute to sacrifices of the troops that protect our nation.
“They’ve given so much,” Wallace added on the conference call. “That’s our purpose in life, purpose on Earth – to give back.”
