Zoe Saldana has reportedly replaced Mary J. Blige as the leading lady in the Nina Simone biopic that is scheduled to begin filming in October.
The film was supposed to begin filming in May 2011, but was put on hold so that Mary J. Blige could honor her commitments to the Rock of Ages film.
As time progressed, however, movie producers decided to go in a different direction and replaced Mrs. Mary with Hollywood starlet Zoe Saldana.
