A memorial service for a 17-year-old student stabbed to death at Spring High School last week was interrupted tonight by gunfire, according to media reports.

The memorial for Joshua Broussard was being held at Spring Baptist Church Sunday night when a group of members from the Hispanic gang Brown Pride entered the church around 8 p.m., according to the Houston Chronicle.

While security was able to move the group outside following an altercation, four gun shots rang out as the Broussard family watched as Joshua’s casket was loaded into a hearse.

No arrests or injuries were reported. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said it will investigate with assistance from the Spring school district and the Sherriff’s gang task force.

Classes at Spring High School are to resume Monday.
