Investigators say about 6:30am the boy and two other teens were walking in the middle of the street in the 2300 block of Spring Creek.  The deputy, who was off-duty but in a patrol car, says it was dark and he did not see the student.

The boy was taken by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann in serious condition.   The Sheriff’s department is investigating the accident.
