A Ray Charles Forever stamp will hit the post offices Monday.
The stamp art features an image of Charles with his infectious smile, taken by photographer Yves Carrere.
The stamp’s creation is a tribute to the musical legend. He would have been 83.
On what would have been his 83rd birthday, the Ray Charles was inducted into the Postal Services Music Icons Forever Stamp Series on September 23rd.
Chaka Khan will perform at the Los Angeles first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony and Ashanti will highlight the Atlanta event.
