The Harris County District Attorney’s office is once again warning residents about being too trusting when it comes to your taxes.

Assistant DA Amy Bolletino says someone may offer to help you with your tax return, but what they’re after is your social security number.

Bolletino says if you do your taxes online there are some web sites designed to trick people into giving out their information so you need to be vigilant.

If you feel you’ve been a victim of tax return fraud, call local law enforcement and the IRS.
