The “My Brother’s Keeper” connects governments, local business and foundations in an effort to connect young men with mentoring and networks. It takes a village to raise a child, just imagine how great that child would be with a nation taking part in his or her positive upbringing! Yesterday President Obama created the initiative yesterday with The My Brother’s Keeper Task Force acting as an inter agency determining working with public and private efforts headed by Cabinet Secretary Broderick Johnson. This is the first time a US President has created an initiative directed at actively saving young African American males.
