Whitney Houston’s family is not too happy about the upcoming Lifetime film about her life.
We told you that Lifetime announced the film last week, saying that the film will be directed by Angela Bassett and it will premiere next year.
According to TMZ,
Sources say that The Houston estate is so upset about the film that they are considering a lawsuit to block production.
The family has already made it clear to Lifetime that they are not on board with the film — because they feel that Whitney is too big for the small screen. Sources say that the estate is already planning it’s own movie for the big screen — similar to Michael Jackson’s This is It film.
Pat Houston told the site,
“Whitney is certainly worthy of more than a television movie. If Whitney were here today, this would not be happening.”
Oh, the drama! We’ll see what’ll happen with this.
