Women who seek prenatal care early and regularly are more likely to have a healthy pregnancy and less likely to deliver their babies prematurely. Babies born even just a few weeks early have higher rates of hospitalization and illness compared to full-term infants. When seen early in a pregnancy, healthcare providers can identify social issues and medical conditions that could put mother and baby at risk and take steps for treatment.
Go see a healthcare provider as soon as you think you’re pregnant. Getting early and regular prenatal care helps keep you and your baby healthy.
