(FULSHEAR, TX) – A woman from Fulshear has solved the problem of her kids ignoring her calls and texts. And now you can buy the product she’s developed.
About a year ago, Sharon Standifird was out with her husband and just wanted her kids to let the dog out. She’d text and call them but was ignored.
“And I got so frustrated that I said to him, ‘We should invent an app that shuts your phone down and makes you call back,’” Standifird said.
That’s exactly what she did.

Standifird hired a software development company, and just one year later, the “Ignore No More” phone app is available for people with Android devices. She says there will be an iPhone app available soon.
Ignore No More allows parents to turn off their kids’ cell phones. After the phone is shut down, the child can only call a parent to get the phone turned back on — or 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
“The way I look at Ignore No More is that when kids decide to ignore your calls and texts, they are breaking their end of the deal of having a cell phone.”
The app costs a $1.99 and is available on Google Play.
She says her development costs still have not been covered, but she has more products in development. That’s why she’s formed Mountaineer Technology Ventures.
