When Carol’s Daughter’s ethnic line hit the scene in the late 90’s, it quickly became the go-to brand for African American hair and beauty products, endorsed and supported by celebrities like Jada Pinkett-Smith, Mary J. Blige and Solange Knowles. The product line shot up and Carol’s Daughter’s stores opened all over the country. However in 2014, several companies affiliated with Carol’s Daughter filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after the company closed all of it’s stores all but the stores in Brooklyn and Harlem.

Carol’s Daughter had a primary focus on the African American market but has now inked a deal with French powerhouse L’Oreal in hopes to expand and reach a more multi-cultural consumer. Click here to read more.
