If you’re anything like me this story really is concerning because I love tuna, especially in my salads. A salmonella outbreak likely linked to raw tuna has sickened 53 people in nine states, according to health officials. Most of the cases are in California, 31, officials at the California Department of Public Health said. Other states affected include Illinois, Arizona, Mississippi, New Mexico, Virginia, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin. Ten people have been hospitalized but no deaths have been reported.  Salmonella is a bacteria and the most common source of food poisoning in the U.S. Symptoms include diarrhea, cramping and fever.
