Good news for African-American women in business, according to Fortune magazine a new report show he number of businesses owned by African-American women has grown 332 percent since 1997. From Fortune: Women now own 30% of all business in the U.S., accounting for some 9.4 million firms. Also African American women control 14% of these companies, or an estimated 1.3 million businesses. That amount is larger than the total number of firms owned by all minority women in 1997, the report found.
