Jacque Reid goes Inside Her Story about removing the shame from mothers who decide to put their kids up for adoption. She talks with Aprille Franks-Hunt, a mother who was adopted and then also gave her child up for adoption years later.

“I was six months old when I was adopted. My birth mother and my mom grew u in church together. I did get an opportunity to come in contact with her and meet my other siblings. I’m just extremely grateful and proud about the decision she made me.”

Why she decided to put her child up for adoption:

“I had dual emotions about it. On one sense I was very proud to be adopted, but then on the other side I was mourning. At that time I was agonizing over my life and the circumstances I landed myself in.”
